Walk to local Ucluelet Beaches
Ucluelet and the surrounding area have
many inviting sandy beaches. Some are great for surfing, some for day hikes,
some for short strolls and all have wonderful west coast views, clean, clear
water, and a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Ocean Mist Guesthouse is perfectly
located for a walk to local
beaches like Little Beach or Terrace Beach and a short drive or bus trip to beaches
like Wickanninish Beach or Long Beach within nearby Pacific Rim National Park.
Little Beach, Ucluelet
A First Nations archeological site is a short stroll from Ocean Mist Guesthouse. This
scenic pebbled beach cove is a perfect place to watch for eagles and seals, to
picnic or just relax in the tranquil surroundings.
Terrace Beach, Ucluelet
A 5-minute walk from Ocean Mist Guesthouse, Terrace Beach is located near He-Tin-Kis
Park. This protected little pebbles and sand cove is a great place to
relax, take in the wild life or catch a sunset.
Big Beach, Ucluelet
A 5 minute drive from Ocean Mist Guesthouse, Big Beach is located near Phase
II of the Wild Pacific Trail and is the largest of the Ucluelet beaches. Listen
to the waves crash against rocky outcroppings, explore tidal pools or enjoy lunch
in the covered picnic area complete with picnic tables.
